The Power of Improvisation
Acceptance, listening, collaboration, and creativity are core everyday principles used everyday by business professionals and improvisers.
Acceptance is arguably the most important skill in improv. Acceptance doesn’t mean we have to like something and it allows us to make the most out of the worst situations.
Listening - It is the key to understanding and accepting what another person is communicating. Listening to understand, not just waiting for our turn to talk.
Collaboration is the difference between a group and a team. We make each other look good by adding on to another person’s idea.
Creativity is what happens when we fully accept the ideas of others. We rediscover a sense of play and ask ourselves “what if…?” We can try all ideas while still maintaining a safe space for creation.
